The gap of right and wrong,
Is standing before me.
The darkness of indecision,
As far as I can see.
I’m standing on the edge,
The edge of all reason.
The point of no return,
To pass it feels like treason.
Perhaps I should take a step
Towards the shark-filled sea.
Judge the pain from the pleasure,
Feel what it is to be free.
The fiends will laugh and jibe,
As ought they really should.
The treasure is just too great
For the finders’ misunderstood.
Fine! I shall take the plunge,
Deep down into the unknown.
I shall never, ever stop,
Until I’ve found and known.
A world strange and alien,
Flashes before mine eyes.
It should be my savior,
Or my very own demise.
And when I do this deed,
Perhaps you’re the same way.
Your guarded eyes give in,
And nothing clever we’ll say.
But please, please find an answer,
To my simple, little question.
“Will I have this dance?” was easy,
But hard is my great confession.
