An Note for Notelings
I’ve been using a little community called “Notelings” (found at http://www.notelings.com) to cure a bit of my writers’ block. It works and the whole concept is quite interesting… especially the fact that you can see what other people write and get a lot of inspiration. All it does is produces a random word and you have to write as much as you can in 2 minutes. Here’s my current three “Notelings”:
Toast
TThe toast was warm, the coffee hot. Breakfast was in. It was a cold day outside, but inside, it was heaven. No need for worries, no need for thoughts… it was just me, this toast and some warm radio voice floating in the mind. Peace doesn’t come without a price - in a few seconds I will be down the side of a plane cleaning the terrorists.
BoatUp and down… up and down… The sea salt in the eyes, the watery greyed eyes of the man on the boat. He lived there, married there and worked there. He cast his net over the fish, over the little fish of the world. Up and down… up and down.. He was certain he was right the first time… but now he was not so sure… for he was a fisherman and he went out to get all those who did good. His name was God.
Frozen
There was nothing to stop her. Nothing in her life. Her family… a thing of the past. Her love… gone. There, stood the very thing that kept her here, yet it was the very thing that she wanted to get rid of. He loved her with all his might but it was this wall that kept them apart. This wall which stood, overpowering both their lives. It was the frozen, cold wall which kept them far from each other.
